One-Stop Service (ΥΜΣ) Options

To establish your company, you may choose one of the following One-Stop Services:

  • Chambers of Commerce operating as One-Stop Services
    Business Service Centers (KEP) authorized as One-Stop Services
    Electronic One-Stop Service (e-ΥΜΣ) through the General Commercial Registry (G.E.MI.), which allows full online incorporation without physical presence

The e-ΥΜΣ is currently the fastest and most cost-efficient option.

 

Who Can Establish a General or Limited Partnership?

The founders must have:

  • Legal capacity
    An active Greek Tax Identification Number (AFM)
    Residence permit, in case of non-EU citizens residing in Greece or participating as general partners
    (Legal basis: Law 4251/2014)

 

Required Documents for Incorporation

To establish the company, the following are required:

  • Articles of Association (original and duly signed)
    o Signed via TAXISNET (electronic signature), or
    o Qualified digital signature
    (both have the same legal effect)
  • Tax Identification Numbers (AFM) of all founders
    Proof of payment of incorporation fees and duties
    Certificate of no insurance debt, where applicable

 

What the e-ΥΜΣ Does Automatically

The e-ΥΜΣ system electronically handles:

  • Assignment of G.E.MI. number and Company Identification Code (KAK)
    • Creation of the company’s electronic file in the registry
    • Transmission of data to TAXIS and issuance of Tax ID for the company
    • Provision of TAXISNET credentials for activation
    Registration with the competent Chamber of Commerce
    Notification to EFKA (social security authority)
    Issuance of digitally signed copies of the Articles and incorporation announcement
    Payment certificate for the Unified Incorporation Fee and, where applicable, the

Competition Committee fee

 

After Incorporation

  • The partners register with EFKA, where required
    • The company may open a business bank account

 

Completion Time

  • e-ΥΜΣ: possibly within one day
    Physical ΥΜΣ (Chamber / KEP): within a few business days

 

Cost

Incorporation through the e-ΥΜΣ is approximately 70% more cost-effective than the physical procedure.
